Faculty Training Programme (FTP) · DIC Hub, IIT Hyderabad, India
Teach design thinking by doing it first.
Five days at DIC Hub, IIT Hyderabad, India for teachers and practitioners. You'll take a real problem from first interview to tested prototype, then turn what you learned into something you can teach the week you get back.

Why it works
You can't teach a design cycle you've never run.
Design thinking doesn't live on slides. So we skip them. For five days you'll work the way your students will: out in the field, talking to people, making things, getting them wrong, and making them better.

School teachers
Bring it into the classroom
Subject teachers, innovation and maker-space leads, and school leaders putting project-based learning into practice.

College & university faculty
Build studio courses
Faculty from engineering, management, science, humanities and design who want to teach through projects and juries.

Practitioners
Facilitate with confidence
Designers, trainers, L&D leads and public officers who run workshops and want a method that holds up.
The five days
From your first interview to a jury.
Each day pairs doing something with asking how you'd teach it.
| Day | Focus | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | Immerse | A walk through DIC Hub and its labs. Why design thinking runs across every discipline. Teams form and pick a real brief. |
| Day 2 | Research & frame | Out on campus: watching, interviewing, making sense of it. Then one sharp problem statement. |
| Day 3 | Ideate & prototype | Lots of ideas, then rough prototypes built in the DIC makers' lab. |
| Day 4 | Test & translate | Testing with real users. Then turning your project into a lesson, module or workshop, and practising how you'll run it. |
| Day 5 | Jury & certification | Teams present the project and the teaching unit to DIC Hub faculty. Certificates awarded. |

Projects
